These are words said centuries ago by Aristotle and truly so..Being a poetry lover since early childhood, I have experienced that for all the times when one is overjoyed, lonely or simply overcome with emotion, nothing reaches out and touches the heart more than a few words in verse, read in silence. And hence this is an attempt (and in which I would like all the readers of my blog to collaborate) and create a collection of some of the finest poetry that we have ever read..For those of you who are followers of my blog lifeismybestfriend.blogspot.com and have given me their appreciation by just their presence, if not their words, I request you to join this one and be a fellow traveller on my 'journey through verse'..
One of my favorite poem's is Shelley's Ozymandias... i stopped reading poems after working.. my son brought me back to poems again .. but a diff world of poems -- while he has outgrown it , Silverstein's where the sidewalk ends continues to remain one of my favourites ...
